Here we go guys! My final Final Fantasy XIV recipe prior to the early access release of Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward tomorrow morning. As I type this I am watching the Square Enix Live Letter on Twitch and the hype that I am experiencing couldn’t be any higher right now. I don’t think I have been THIS excited for an MMO expansion… ever. I’ve basically been watching the launch trailer non-stop… I can’t get enough!
The servers are down across the entirety of Final Fantaxy XIV today as Square Enix gets Heavensward prepped. This gave me plenty of time not only to prepare and cook the final recipe for the game this week, but also to get a few things done so that I have some extra time tomorrow to play the game.
Today’s recipe is for Final Fantasy XIV La Noscean Toast. La Noscean Toast is reminiscent of French Toast and according to the game is “a slice of bread soaked in a mixture of buffalo milk and eggs, and then fried in a creamy butter. A specialty in the Carline Canopy in Gridania.”
I seem to be out of buffalo milk ( 😛 ) so I just regular milk. Also rather than frying the bread in butter, I used just a light coating of cooking spray. Finally, I added a bit of cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla to the egg and milk mixture to add some extra flavor to the bread. My recipe is basically a recipe for French Toast and can be served any way that you enjoy to eat French Toast (with butter and syrup, fruit and whipped cream… whatever you want!).
