Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend. It’s been a super busy one for me as I work on the renovation and posts for Eat a Byte, but I’m getting there! I’m really happy with the changes that I made to it. I love the cleaner look of the new theme that I am using. I’ve also been busy leveling my Final Fantasy XIV character in preparation for the expansion that is going to be released soon. I actually have a couple of FFXIV recipes in the works right now and they should hopefully be posted soon.
Starbound is a game that I have been playing a lot lately, especially since the Winter Update went into the unstable branch. It’s incredible how much was added in this update. New quests, missions, ship AI, upgradable ships, boats, new biomes, and most importantly (for me) new recipes. Carrot Bread has been around in Starbound for a while now, but it’s always been a recipe that has intrigued me. I imagined it tasting a bit like a less sweet and denser version of Carrot Cake, so that is what I set out to make with this recipe.
In order to make the in-game version of the Carrot Bread players will need a carrot and some wheat. The real-life version that I have made requires a FEW more ingredients than that, but it is so worth it. I’ve already made this recipe twice since coming up with it and it is a huge hit with my family. Best of all, my kids are eating vegetables without even realizing it… SCORE!
This recipe will make an excellent breakfast. Add a dab of butter or cream cheese to it and it will be a super tasty morning treat. The shredded carrots and raisins add a hint of sweetness without making it too sweet, so don’t think that this will be like eating dessert for breakfast. It won’t be!
I hope to add more Starbound recipes in the future. This one was such a huge success in my family and guinea pi… I mean friends that I think I might have equal success with other recipes from the game.
